Welcome to the most
cosmopolitan area of Chios, the Municipality of Aghios Minas (Saint
Minas).
The
Municipality of Aghios Minas lies in the eastern side of the island, 7.5
kilometers south of Chios town, the capital.
It
is the island's most tourist -oriented municipality, covering an area of
approximately 3,263 acres which include the villages of Thymiana and
Neochori, as well as the seashore areas of Karfas, Aghia Ermioni, Megas
Limnionas and Aghia Fotini.
This
municipality has a population of 2,412.
