In Vrontados, at a sdistance of about 7 kilometres from Chios town, is the beach of Daskalopetra. It is a beach with white pebbles and crystal clear waters, next to the picturesque small port of fishing boats.
The area is named after Homer, who according to tradition used to teach in the area. The famous Homer's stone, an archaeological site, connected to the great poet of Iliad and Odyssey is a few metres above the seaside.
