The village of
Chalandra, built inside an old fortress, lies at the east part of Amani's road, 11km from
Volissos.
Some of fortress' remnants are still visible nowadays, climbed up to the steep and green mountainsides of Amani. Beneath Chalandra there lies an abandoned settlement called Kamini with the church of Agios Modestos. |
